Our Commitment to Sustainable Tourism

Taupo DeBretts began planning for Sustainable Tourism, years before it became popular. We started planting trees and taking steps to minimise the environmental impacts of our award winning Holiday Park. We are particularly proud of our recycling stations. We make it easy for our visitors to recycle waste by having collection points placed at convenient locations on-site. 

Sustainable Tourism is about the protection and enhancement of the natural environment and resources for future generations. Knowing that change is often gradual, we are committed to long-term goals that ensure we continue to take a leading role in the protection of our environment.

You can be confident that we will continue to honour this commitment. We use environmentally friendly products for all new building projects.  Our newly completed Superior Lodges have been constructed using the very latest in environmental materials. Here at Taupo DeBretts we take sustainability very seriously.
